Other actors considered for the role of Mrs Hudson included Loriel Smart.

The roles assigned to Peter Westheimer and Will Deumer were originally reversed, with Westheimer having the speaking role of Hippy 1 and Deumer the non-speaking role of Hippy 2.

Other actors considered for the role of 'Sydney Superintendant' included John Frawley.
