The Colonial Times, and Tasmanian Advertiser is a continuation of Andrew Bent's The Hobart Town Gazette, and Van Diemen's Land Advertiser. The title was published a day before and with numbering in tandem with The Hobart Town Gazette, published by Howe and Ross, government printers.
