The article presents the author's insights on the publication of his three Chinese historical fiction books. The author says that the creation of his second book The Melting Pot is led by the New Gold Mountain, which he thought that contains some incorrect information. He states that he offered a range of objects from within the museum, including coins and indenture certificates in the Seams of Gold.

The article focuses on the national projects of The Book Club Inc., which was established as a not for profit organisation committed to the promotion of reading and literature in 2003. It says that the primary goal of The Little Big Book Club (LBBC) for parents, caregivers and educators is promote the love of and the importance of reading from a very early age. It adds that a free reading and activity pack for 10,000 families is provided by the New Arrivals program of the club.
