Location:

  • The series was originally written to be filmed in Sydney. The publicity material for Bluey held in the Crawford Collection in the AFI Research Collection includes two (undated and unsigned) publicity blurbs for the program. The key difference is that one blurb positions the program in Sydney: 'The Company has long planned to produce a major series in Sydney. By setting our new police drama in Sydney we could capitalise on the superb dramatic and scenic potential of the city and suburbs -- at the same time creating a new and exciting police environment'. In the copy held in the Crawford Collection, this paragraph has been crossed out in blue ink: it does not appear in the other blurb, though the two are otherwise almost identical.
