WARNING: Over the years, some of the people in this film have died so careful discretion must be used when watching it with Aboriginal viewers, particularly from the Kimberley area.

In 1988, a project was undertaken by the Woomera Aboriginal Corporation of Mornington Island to link up communities from the Carpentaria Gulf country with people of the remote Kimberley region. It involved moving fifty people from Gununa (Mornington Island in Queensland) and Borroloola (in the Northern Territory) to fourteen Aboriginal communities in a five week period. This was a journey of 8,000 kms through some very rough terrain. The object of this journey was to reinforce Aboriginal cultural identity.

This is the story of that journey and celebrates the stories of the land in song and dance.
