Gillian Lord, until 2012 a journalist with the Canberra Times, reflects on her journalistic career. She also notes the impending departure from the Canberra Times of three journalists (all of whom had previously worked in South Africa): herself, Literary Editor Gia Metherell and Arts Editor Diana Streak.
