Notes

  • A poem written at the time the clock in the General Post Office tower, in Sydney, was officially started by Lady Jersey, wife of the New South Wales Governor. The General Post Office tower had been completed towards the end of 1885, however the clock and accompanying bells were not installed until 1891.
