The writer for the Sydney Monitor (probably Francis O'Brien) scolds the Sydney Herald's writer (probably James Rennie) for the 'scycophancy' displayed in the Herald's review of Major Thomas Mitchell's Three Expeditions into the Interior of Eastern Australia : With Descriptions of the Recently Explored Region of Australia Felix and of the Present Colony of New South Wales.
