Editor's note: The Virginia Woolf Dream is a chapter from Geoff Wyatt's novel-in-draft, The Inn at the Edge of the Icefield: an Australian's vision of his transplanted Britishness experienced during a journey through England and Scotland.
The book is chronological successor to The Tidal Forest - published in 1974 by University of Queensland Press - itself sequential to The Winged Anvil, an historical novel describing the genesis of Tidal forest's Meteora township from 1840. Starting with an Australia Council Literature Board grant for 1975, Wyatt has produced drafts of The Inn and Winged Anvil during the past three years; and plans to finish them in 1978.

Wyatt's novel The Inn at the Edge of the Icefield is, as yet, unpublished.
