From Cairns to the South Australian Border, single work column
Describes the first part of a journey overland from Cairns via Normanton and Cloncurry. The journey involved 36 miles by train and 250 miles by Cobb and Co. coach. The train from Normanton comprised an engine and two cattle trucks marked 'first class' and 'second class'.
