  • 'The three liberal papers of Townsville, the Northern Age, North Queensland Telegraph and North Queensland Sentinel, have been floated into a limited liability company, with a capital of £10,000.'
  • A protest from the northern newspapers at an order from the Postmaster-General stating that the English mails are not to be advertised as the Department considers the newspapers should publish this information without being paid for it.
