AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Millemondi is a sub-series of science fiction and fantasy publications released by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore in association with Urania magazine (aka I Romanzi di Urania). The first series, which ran from June 1971 through until 1994, initially began as an annual. From 1973, however, the issues were published every six months - in winter (as Millemondi Inverno) and summer (as Millemoni Estate). The first issue comprised reprints of three stories from Isaac Asimov's Foundation series - Foundation (1951), Foundation and Empire (1952), Second Foundation (1953).

The second Millemondi series began in 1994 using a numbering system (beginning with 1). Apart from a few early issues the series title has been given less prominence, with the dominant feature of each cover being the name of the story of story collection.

Among the Australian authors to appear in Millemondi is A. Bertram Chandler.
