'A new Australian play, "Summer of the Seventeenth Doll," which recently had its premiere in Melbourne, has been hailed as an outstanding success. London theatrical interests have cabled for the script, and it is the first play by an Australian author to be produced by the Elizabethan Theatre Trust. It opens a three weeks' season at the Elizabethan Theatre in Sydney on January 10.' (p. 19)
