Notes:

Several of the cast members had previously appeared in Mirams's earlier program, The Terrific Adventures of the Terrible Ten, including Gavan Ellis (credited in The Magic Boomerang as 'Gavin Ellis'), Gary Gray, and Rodney Pearlman. The Magic Boomerang was also the first television appearance of Bindi Williams, who later appeared in a main role in Woobinda: Animal Doctor.
