  • A poem in six numbered stanzas.
  • Epigraph: And art thou dead, so young and fair / as ought of mortal birth: / of charms so soft, and forms so rare, / so soon returned to earth. - Byron
  • The poem concludes with the line: 'Pursues the weary heart in vain.' The author acknowledges Byron as the source of this line, stating that it is 'borrowed from Lord Byron's beautiful piece on the same subject'.
