Notes

  • Editor's note: 'The "Shropshire," returning from the front with Australian troops aboard, called in at Durban, South Africa, and were well-treated by the townspeople. The Aussies afterwards sent an illuminated address to the Municipality as a tribute to the good work of Durban women during the war, and a gold bracelet for Miss Ethel Campbell, M. B. E. Unable to personally thank the unknown donors of the present Miss Campbell sends the following open letter:

To the Australian soldiers and dependents who returned to Australia per H. M. A. T. "Shropshire," January, 1920.'

  • Author's note: New Year, 1920.
