The Northern Tablelands Music Industry Archive (NTMIA) was established in November 2008 by the independent publisher Have Gravity Will Threaten. The site serves as an historical archive that celebrates the efforts and achievements of those individuals (and businesses) who helped keep the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales music scene alive and happening during a significant period in the Australian music industry's history. The site provides internal access to biographical information on musicians, songwriters, managers, and associated industry practitioners. It also comprises filmographies and discographies, images, ephemera (posters etc.), digital recordings, and video, as well as poetry and memoir. In addition, there are numerous links to outside resources, including commercial websites (e.g., band sites and YouTube) and private websites and blogs.
The concept behind the Northern Tablelands Music Industry Archive is the establishing of a research community. Anyone with information or materials relating to the archive is invited to contribute.
Authors and organisations with entries in the NTMIA and which are also represented in AustLit include Clay Djubal, David Lennon, Peter Mitchell, Jo-ann Simmons, and Some Trippin' Diggers.
