'Tony and Maureen Wheeler were the major backers of the Wheeler Centre: Books, Writing and Ideas, the centrepiece of Melbourne's successful bid to become a UNESCO City of Literature. In October 2011 they bought a stake in Text from Jamie Byng, the head of Edinburgh-based publisher Canongate with which Text entered a partnership in 2004. ' Source: Jason Steger.
