  • The portrait of Louise Mack accompanying this biography was '[l]ent by the Proprietors of Cosmos [Magazine].' The portrait, published in the 31 October 1895 issue of the Cosmos Magazine, illustrated a biography of Louise Mack written by Mrs Charles Bright (Annie Bright). Although the piece in Australian Boys and Girls is not the same as the piece in the Cosmos Magazine, it may also have been written by Annie Bright.
