In this anthology James Frenkel has collected 16 stories of modern and future terrors from 16 horror and science fiction writers, including Robert Bloch, Ray Bradbury, Pat Cadigan, Greg Egan, Stephen Dedman, Harlan Ellison, Stephen King, Damon Knight, Frederik Pohl, John Shirley, and Michael Swanwick. All the stories are reprints. Some have been widely anthologized but most are almost unknown.
