When Noel returns from her overseas trip and announces she is to marry stolid Jimmy Price in a month the gossips in her small home town are amazed. But Noel's best friend, Nan, senses sadness behind Noel's intentions and is determined to discover the cause.
Relates the story of the play, a comedy, by Rachel Crothers, chosen to introduce the actor Miss Edith Taliaferro to Australian audiences. The play was staged at the Criterion Theatre, Sydney, under the auspices of J. C. Williamson.
