  • 'A beautifully illustrated private workbook Charlotte made for the 13th birthday of her second daughter, Emily, in 1843 has resurfaced. Hidden in a relative's desk for 25 years, Atkinson's unique, unpublished 30-page volume, brimming with exquisite drawings of the flora, fauna and indigenous people of the Southern Highlands will be sold at Sydney's Aalders Auctions on June 12, 2011 with a $90,000 estimate.'
