  • Editor's note excerpt: 'It has been charitably suggested to the writer that copies of this ditty, in large type, stuck on the rail-posts of the bridge, as well as on the verandah posts of the "White Hart" and "Struggler's Arms" Inns, would be likely to have a highly soothing effect, in allaying the rage and mortification of bullock-drivers on finding themselves in a "fix" through high-water in the ford and the impassable state of the bridge'.
