AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Veronica has a difficult childbirth needing a Caesarian section. Somehow, the operation or the anaesthetic goes wrong, and her lower half is left numb and paralysed. She never sees her baby boy, Benjamin, who was born with unspecified disabilities.

Despite endless tests and physiotherapy, Veronica doesn't regain her ability to walk, and the doctors can't identify why. She's left in the hospital without a cure in sight.
