'It is with very deep regret that we report the deaths of two of our members. On 12 February, world-famous mystery author Arthur Upfield died at his home in Bowral. Mr Upfield, who was 74, had only shortly before become a member of the Society. Mrs Constance Robertson, who was a foundation member of the Society and one of Australia's most highly respected journalists, died on 4th March. A daughter of A.G. Stephens, founder and editor of the Bulletin 'Red Page,' she was awarded the O.B.E. in 1955 for her services to her profession.' (p. 6)
