Author's note: Legend: There was once a German bishop. He was religious, learned and lecherous. He burnt a group of peasants alive (men, women and children) in a barn after he'd enticed them in with a promise of grain. They had been in danger of starvation. Afterwards the bishop retreated to his tower in the middle of the Rhine and waited. However, he had not reckoned with a swarm of vengeful rats. They swam across to the tower, ascended the walls and ate him alive.
Another legend: Celtic poets were verbal Pied Pipers. They could rhyme out rats.
