  • Author's note: The following poems were written in 1989, to commemorate the Bicentennial of the Mutiny on the Bounty. Some of them were read as part of an entertainment, Ardent Spirits, given by the author during the Canterbury Festival that year. The poem 'Bligh's Roses' was first read on the Australian Broadcasting Commission.
