Monallgum relates an experience with a creature similar to an orangutan. This creature equates to the animal referred to in the Geelong Advertiser's extract from G. H. Haydon's Five Years' Experience in Australia Felix : Comprising a Short Account of Its Early Settlement and Its Present Position, with Many Particulars Interesting to Intending Emigrants.
