Recorded by his daughter Renarta Prior, Straight from the Yudaman's Mouth is the story of Peter Prior's survival as a Birra-Gubba man dispossessed from his traditional lands and taken to Palm Island. In this life story, Prior shares his experiences of growing up in North Queensland in the early 1900s and the historical events that took place during the establishment and operation of Palm Island as an Aboriginal reserve.
