The Australian Women's Weekly (Wed. 16 Feb. 1972, p.9), notes that Corry 'spent a great deal of time with a Czech friend before shooting began in order to perfect his Czech accent, a difficult and unusual one.'

  • Filmed in Bathurst and Orange.
  • According to the Australian Women's Weekly (Wed. 16 Feb. 1972, p.9), 'The production team found an old, abandoned homestead near Bathurst, N.S.W., which exactly fitted their idea of the house in the story, and it was renovated to suit the series. One of the most dramatic scenes is an accident in the lumber camp where Carl, the hero, works. This was staged in a real logging camp near Orange, with marvellous co-operation from the manager.'
