Nick O'Malley reports that Australian Attorney-General Robert McClelland has lodged a petition with Queen Elizabeth II requesting a pardon for 'Breaker' Morant and Peter Handcock. Morant and Handcock, who had been serving with the Bushveldt Carbineers, were executed after being found guilty of murdering twelve Boer prisoners.
