'Sisters Inside appraoched some young women in Southeast Queensland prisons to write a series of stories and develop the artwork specifically for the stories.

The stories in this booklet are about a particular young Aboriginal woman whose mother has been in prison and how that affected her life. She continues to share how she is now incarcerated herself and what prison is like for her.

A creative young woman who is also in prison developed the artwork for the stories. She shares through this artwork how these stories effect her and what it is like to be in prison as a young woman.

Sisters Inside recognises the strength and courage it has taken for these young women to write these stories and develop the artwork. These stories are an invaluable source of information and this resource booklet wil now be available for other young women in prison and children of women in prison' (From inside cover)
