AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Dale Weston and Sally Harrison are two of the most prolific and respected Indigenous artists in south-east Queensland. They first met in 2004 when they shared an exhibition of their work at the Ipswich Art Gallery. Now they have joined forces once again to produce this book which is a vivid record of some of their best work.' A story is included to explain each of the artworks reproduced in the book. These stories are drawn from the artist's life experience and their knowledge of Aboriginal culture. Source: Libraries Australia

Notes

  • Dedication: To my mother, Violet May, whose journey back to her ancestors and the Dreamtime forms the illustration on the cover of this book. And also Kath McKewan of the CRS, Ipswich, who set my feet on the right path and without whose guidance this book would not never have been.

  • Dedication: To Richard Allen, a loyal and true friend who has stuck by me through thick and thin for many years and has been my most dedicated supporter in all my endeavours.
