  • Dedication: After Mr Masefield - and not far after.
  • Written as a parody of John Masefield's (q.v.) poem, 'Sea Fever'.
  • Poem was published in conjunction with an illustrated section 'The Upper School', a feature which reported history and news relating to prominent schools of New South Wales.
