'The Clinic is a cutting edge Australian thriller, exploring women's primal instincts and how far they will go to protect life.' Source: www.filmink.com.au/ (Sighted 12/11/2009).

Travelling across country, Cameron and his pregnant fiancee Beth stop in a small-town motel. Cameron leaves to find food and when he returns, Beth is missing. Beth, meanwhile, awakes in an ice-bath to find that her child has been removed by caesarean section. Four other women are in the same situation. Their children are alive, but locked in colour-coded cribs--and the only way to determine which child is which are the colour-coded tags sewn into the mothers' abdomens. Even if Beth and the others can identify their own children, the facility has another, even more sinister purpose.
