AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'The story of How the Waratah Became Red as retold by Kevin Smith was originally given to him by his grandmother Ruth Edna Walker. This story originates from the Murramarang Tribe on the southeast coast of Australia. Ruth was a traditional healer and midwife who knew the secrets and usage of plants, herbs and flowers. Her totem was "Gurri-Gurri".' (Source: Aboriginal Nations website)
