  • The editor of the Temperance Advocate and Australasian Commercial and Agricultural Intelligencer notes receipt of 'Long Live Victoria, music by Nathan' in the 23 June 1841 issue.
  • Advertised in the Australasian Chronicle (15 June, 1841): as: 'NEW MUSIC. Just published, price 2s. 6d. LONG LIVE VICTORIA! a new National Anthem, to be sung by Mrs. Bushelle at the Oratorios. The words by W. A. Duncan; the music composed, and most respectfully inscribed to his Excellency Sir George Gipps, by I. Nathan. F. Ellard, George-street.' The first performance of the song was probably given Wednesday, June 30th, 1841 at St. Mary's Cathedral, Sydney, New South Wales, as part of a 'Grand Oratorio'. Advertisements for the Oratorio were published in issues of the Australasian Chronicle in June1841.
  • First performed at St Mary's Cathedral, 30 June 1841 as the opening item of an oratorio. (A detailed account of the evening performance can be found in the Sydney Monitor and Commerical Advertiser, 2 July and 5 July 1841.)
