AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Sammy Colburn, a talented but hopelessly disorganised jazz musician and composer, moves into a community of bohemian artists. Sally Debenham, a poet, immediately takes him under her wing and writes the words for a tune he has composed. With the help of the narrator, Sandy, the song is bought by an American music publisher and becomes a hit.
