An advertisement, in verse form, extolling the virtues of seeking reading material (for purchase or loan) from the office of the Parramatta Chronicle, published by Edmund Mason. The poem includes a 'swipe' at the Stationery House, also in Parramatta, suggesting that this competing establishment may tempt people to buy beyond their means. (The Stationery House also advertised, in verse form, in the pages of the Parramatta Chronicle.)
