  • The commencement of publication of the Sydney Times in August 1834 prompted an exchange of vituperative poetry between Henry Halloran, writing in the Times under the pseudonym 'The Hand' or 'The Printer's Hand', and poems in the Gazette, possibly written by Edward O'Shaughnessy, under various pseudonyms, including 'The Glove', which continued into 1835.
