The Ranger's Apprentice series from Australian writer John Flanagan has sold more than 400,000 copies in the U.S., and has been published in 18 countries. The author will arrive in April for a US tour in support of The Battle for Skandia (Philomel, Apr.), fourth in the series. Ranger's Apprentice has just been optioned by United Artists Films, with Oscar-winner Paul Haggis slated to direct. Flanagan is interviewed here by James Bickers.
