Dempsey recalls how he went on a work-related trip in a light plane flown by a friend. Despite advice to the contrary, the friend decided the windy weather was not so bad as to prevent them flying out. After an initial aborted attempt, a sack of potatoes is used to comic and potentially dangerous effect to balance the plane in the wind.
