'How the Kaaloo Set the Waters Flowing is an Aboriginal legend. It tells of how, back in the days of the great ancestor spirits, Kaaloo, the tiny snow-white rat, set the waters free to flow in the land of the Gulngai people, in the Tully area south of Cairns in Queensland.' (Back cover)

  • 'Story is based on three creation stories in Girroo Gurell: The first surveyor and other aboriginal legends by G.J. Henry'. The stories relate to the Tully area which is south of Cairns in North Queensland.
