  • Appeared in the People's Advocate and New South Wales Vindicator in 1849 with the editor's note : 'We have perused a small volume of manuscript poetry, by Mr. R. Taunton, which is about to issue from the Press. Many of these little effusions possess considerable merit, and we heartily wish Mr. Taunton success...'. It is unclear whether the manuscript mentioned here was ever in fact published.
