  • Editor's note: Davyhurst items:- 'Great interest is evinced locally in the digging of the new dam for which Mr. Sloss has the contract.' Another:- 'Mr. Twyford, in responding for the Mining Industry at the dinner, gave the battery returns, and said he felt sure that the future of Davyhurst was assured, and it does not rest alone on our mines.'
