Appeared in the Australian with the following comments :

'Sir - The accompanying piece having been sadly mangled by the Editor of Tegg's Magazine, you will perhaps have no objection to insert it in its proper form. Not only was the subject completely altered, but the arrangement of the lines and the metre. - Epsilon'.

'In the manuscript there is not a single stop of any kind. Is it sheer laziness or outrageous ignorance? - Ed.'

Notes:
The version of this work which was published in the Australian differed somewhat from the version which had initially appeared in Tegg's Monthly Magazine. Yet despite the author's comments, it remained substantially the same work.
