The Sydney Monitor publishes and extract (undated) from the Launceston Advertiser on the subject of freedom of the press and prosecution for libel. The Monitor then offers its own views on these subjects.
An advertisement announcing the publication of a second edition of The Sydney Coronal : No. 1. The author 'returns his most grateful acknowledgments to those Ladies and Gentlemen who have patronised his humble efforts to obtain a livelihood by the only means in his power, (being totally blind,) and begs to acquaint the public that he has through their kind assistance been enabled to lay before them a second edition of the first number of the above work, carefully revised, and respectfully claims their further support for the second number, which he is now preparing for publication, and will appear early in November.'
