  • Contains brief biographical note accompanied by a portrait of the English crime novelist, Agatha Christie (q.v.). The caption states that, 'after a brief visit to Australia', the 'pioneer of women detective story-writers' was 'en route for London with her husband...who is occupied with the organisation of the Australian section of the huge British Empire Exhibition to be held in London in the autumn of 1924.' This issue also contains a short story by Agatha Christie, 'The Wife of the Kenite' appears on pp. 28, 96.
  • Includes fourth instalment of John Dalley's serial fiction, 'The Careerist: An Aspect of Sydney Life', pp. 48, 50-54, 56, 58, 60, 62-64, 66.
