Interestingly, John Shand wrote a review in the Sydney Morning Herald in late May 2009, of the Eddie Bronson Trio in which he compared (as does this poem) the sound of the saxophone to chocolate. Shand writes: 'it was as though the tenor were dipped in chocolate, then allowed to drip upon the melody, one note at a time, so sumptuous was the tone, so melting the phrasing.'
