Elissa Blake reports on a conflict between David Williamson and the Sydney Theatre Company (STC). Blake quotes Williamson as saying that the STC, under directors Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton, is more interested in 'dazzle theatre' and 'capital T-theatre' rather than simple storytelling (of the type written by Williamson).
Williamson draws a distinction between his style of theatre and that of Barrie Kosky, and alludes to some acrimony between Kosky and himself.
